Beware of Fanaticism

Beware of fanaticism in Islam, the zeal of a fanatic can agitate his being to the point that he doesn’t feel peace and a stillness of the soul. This is a serious issue and condition as one who remembers Allah in the right manner will in turn find peace, Allah says “In the remembrance of Allah do hearts find peace.” So one remembering Allah in the wrong manner i.e fanatically that doesn’t bring peace, therefore by his approach has changed the nature of his own religion, so that it doesn’t benefit himself nor does it benefit others, they do not feel spiritual peace around him or her thus pushing them away from the religion of Allah. This is a tragedy. The way we approach our religion must be with wisdom, good intention, embracing, with love, with serious, respect and with gratitude, and easy going in nature, baring in mind religion is easy, like Rasulallah saw taught us. The Prophet SAW warned about doing more than his Sunnah.

Prophet Muhammed saw said “Beware of extremism, the extremists will perish.”

“Whoever over burdens himself in his religion will not be able to continue in that way.”

“I have left behind 2 things, the Quran and my Sunnah, whoever follows them will never go astray.”
