Saying Ya Rasulullah.

We directly address the prophet Muhammad pbuh in the Tahiyyat in the Fard Salah and when visiting him at his grave as a way of giving selam, not asking anything, this selam is carried by the angels to him perhaps in a similar way we would send a message to someone with someone else. But we don’t go beyond that as we have not been instructed to do that and extend the dialogue. We should not call on Rasulullah SAW for help or a need. The Sunnah is to call on Allah alone.
