What is Rabita?
Rabita means to be mindful of Allah by looking at or thinking of things that remind the heart and mind of Allah - as advised by Rasulallah saw who said “Don’t think of Allah in his essence but think of things that remind of him.”
Rabita is instructed in Quran 3:200 - This is a Farz to maintain this method of remembrance of Allah SWT.
يَٓا اَيُّهَا الَّذ۪ينَ اٰمَنُوا اصْبِرُوا وَصَابِرُوا وَرَابِطُوا وَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ
O believers! Patiently endure, persevere, stand on guard, and be mindful of Allah, so you may be successful.
